A Dedicated Destination Spa
To relax the mind, first relax the body. That's been the philosophy at Temple from the inception of our spa in 1992.
Our philosophy has also been one of personal care and attention. Temple is a spa retreat operated by a dedicated team of facilitators and therapists who want you to feel your very best - whether through providing a pristine environment and glorious food, courteous and attentive service, liberating exercises, or caring and care-full therapies.
Every one of our team is focussed on the goal of providing you with an authentic wellbeing experience. Bringing out the best in you brings out the best in us.
A Range of Options
When we survey our guests, foremost among the reasons given for visiting Temple are rest, relaxation and wellbeing. Stress and tiredness are often mentioned and of course food, wine, ambience, celebration and pampering also feature prominently. There are a range of reasons why you would come to the spa, and we have put together a range of options to suit, from a relaxing short visit to a longer more structured stay.
Rest & Relax
Take time for yourself or to catch up with a family member, partner or friends, people who are important to you … choose a relaxing day, half day or short stay
Pamper
You work hard … you give a lot … you care for others … you work in a demanding professional environment … you've got to look your best at all times … you deserve, and need, a special treat … give yourself the gift of time and choose from the extensive selection of pampering therapies on offer.
Wellbeing
A natural state of health & wholeness. To be physically well, at one with ourselves and our environment, with the people around us and the circumstances of our lives, stay a little while longer.
more
Wellbeing takes us by surprise. The health spa is an environment where we can experience wellbeing, removed from the pressures of everyday, undressed - taking off our “working” uniform, wrapped in loose clothing (robe / tracksuit) - cared for, and being with others who have also taken off their uniforms and symbols of status, meeting at a level of humanness. In allocating this time for our own care, in the acceptance of our selves, in sharing life's experiences, a sense of wellbeing gradually envelopes us … from our own resources – physical, physiological and psychological – coming together in harmony. To effect a change that will last beyond the visit - for the body's resources to begin to come together in harmony - a minimum stay of three nights is recommended. less
Wellness
At Temple wellbeing is the goal and wellness is the path, the sum of the practices we bring to our daily lives to continue to cultivate wellbeing. more
The Temple Wellness Programme offers the opportunity to acquire information and skills for incorporation into individual wellness practice … to manage the resources of the body – physical, physiological and psychological – to help achieve the quality of life we want to enjoy for the duration of our natural lifespan. The Wellness Programme offers information and understanding of the underlying principles of wellness, individual consultations in relation to diet, fitness and/or lifestyle, one-to-one personal training. The wellbeing experience is the first step of the Wellness Programme, and in order not to take from the wellbeing experience, additional time needs to be allowed for training in the wellness practices. A minimum stay of five nights is recommended to gain an introduction to some of the skills and resources to begin to effect lifestyle change. less
