Some may think of good health as the absence of disease or feeling unwell, in any sense of the word.  A sedentary lifestyle is the most prevalent risk factor for coronary heart disease and stroke (BMJ, May 08).  However, it is our choice to be sedentary or to be active.  We need to be motivated to take ownership & control of our lives.  Through exercise and activity, we can better manage our weight, high cholesterol and glucose levels, and high blood pressure: all consequences of a sedentary lifestyle.

At Temple Spa , we will provide you with the tools and encouragement to get yourself back on track to a healthier lifestyle.  We advocate regular moderate intensity exercise, weight bearing exercises, and gentle stretching to help increase your staminia; boosting your energy levels for work and play, strengthen muscles and joints, and improve flexibility.  Exercise also boosts metabolism, and burns calories for weight loss, and slows the ageing process – an inevitability for us all.

Morover, our variety of activities will persuade you that exercise can be enjoyable at all ages and levels.  It is never too late to get active
