Treatments
Holistic Therapies
The Holistic Therapies, dedicated to your wellbeing, are at the core of the Temple Spa experience. The treatments are hands-on, conducted in a sensitive and non-threatening manner by qualified and experienced therapists.
more text
The treatments are preceded by a short health consultation, to identify your goals and expectations, and any potential contraindications. The therapist will explain the treatment and answer any questions. For an hour you receive the undivided attention of your therapist.
Each therapist brings his or her own individual personality, experience and training to the treatment. The common factor to all holistic therapies is the commitment and care of the therapist.
For the receiver, being open to receiving a benefit, and a willingness to engage - even tentatively - with one's own emotional journey, will accelerate the benefits to be gained from holistic therapies. less text

Reflexology
Working on the concept that each part of the foot corresponds to an organ or system of the body, and by stimulating the reflex points of the foot, different parts of the body are, in turn, stimulated. Deeply relaxing. more text
Manipulation of the feet. Working on the concept that each part of the
foot corresponds to an organ or system of the body, and by stimulating
the reflex points of the foot, different parts of the body are, in turn,
stimulated. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and tensions
in the feet. The reflexologist will work carefully to release the tension
and restore the free flow of energy to the whole system.
"Reflexology alleviates the effects of stress by inducing deep relaxation,
placing us in a "safe space", and allowing the nervous system
to calm down and function more normally. Circulation proceeds smoothly,
blood flow is improved, and oxygen reaches all the cells. We are no longer
activated for fight or flight. The body seeks homeostasis and healing
can take place. The person experiences a sense of well-being at all levels."
As with other holistic practices, energy pathways are opened up,
and the subtle energy that accompanies neurological and circulatory functioning
can do its work. The body returns to its normal rhythms. Energy flows.
The body, mind and spirit are brought back into balance.
Reflexology facilitates healing. Reflexologists do not claim to diagnose
or treat specific diseases. less text

La Stone Therapy
The original Hot Stone massage from Arizona. Combining heated basalt lava stones, cool marble stones, tradtional, aromatherapy and hot oil treatment to warm, work, invigorate and achieve a deeper sense of relaxation and wellbeing. more text
LaStone Therapy was originated in Tucson, Arizona in 1993 by Mary Nelson
Hannigan and since then has become the 'Hottest Spa Treatment' in the
United States.
LaStone Therapy combines water heated Basalt Lava Stones, frozen marble
stones and traditional massage strokes to warm, work and invigorate the
body and mind. The treatment can be specific for isolated areas of injury
or full body to experience the total 'mind, body and spirit' benefits.
Being surrounded by warmth and energy allows the practitioner to work
individual areas of the body whilst still giving continuous total body
penetrating heat and relaxation. Stones are laid out on the couch for
you to lie on, placed on your body to envelop you in warmth and given
to you to hold for comfort and connection - there are even small stones
to warm between your toes!. The result is a feeling of warmth and healing
from many 'pairs of hands' creating a deep meditative state.
The treatment lasts just over an hour. less text

Used in conjunction with massage, Naturalmoor opens the pores, relaxes the muscles and penetrates deeply enough in order that the therapist can achieve highly effective manipulation of the area. The system allows heat to gradually penetrate your body in a unique and highly beneficial way.
Relax and let the warmth of Naturalmoor and the expertise of highly trained therapists bring relief to tense and tired muscles. For 30 minutes you can relax cocooned in comforting warmth while the gently heated Naturalmoor pack radiates its unique properties.
How does Naturalmoor work?
Simply put, Naturalmoor organic matter is packed in a porous sachet and applied to the appropriate part of the individual's body. The sachet is indirectly heated in a unique way that gradually increases the temperature to an optimum. The heat is thus distributed to the individual highly effectively ensuring that it penetrates deeply, thus allowing the muscles to fully relax prior to the massage session that may follow. In addition, the pores dilate and allow the penetration of the organic, mineral and herbaceous content of Naturalmoor to the individual, while sweat carries their bacteria and toxins to the Naturalmoor. less text
