Cookery Workshops
Dinner parties at home are becoming very popular. Would you like some mouthwatering recipes or tips on how to prepare and cook a special meal to wow your dinner party guests? Temple is once again offering cookery lessons to food lovers who want to enhance their cookery skills (– some of you will have fond memories of the cookery days we ran 20 years ago!).
The idea is simple, come to Temple for the day and receive the very best in a culinary instruction from Head Chef Pascal Onink. You will be taught how to cook a whole meal from scratch. It is a chance to interact and ask questions with an experienced chef and learn how to cook a restaurant worthy meal at home. Our first class on Saturday 6 February will be demonstration only, the following full day workshops will have audience participation!
Saturday 6 March, 10.00 - 4.00 – Bread Making Workshop
This all day cookery workshop will teach you how to make 7 fantastic breads: - brown & white soda bread, brown & white yeast bread, healthy bread options, gluten free bread and a sour dough bread.
From kneading to baking with yeast, everything will be covered. Groups of 3/4 will be provided with their own ingredients, utensils and cookers while Pascal teaches you bread making skills that you can use at home. Cooking kicks off at 10.00 am for two hours, there will be an hour break for lunch and then a further two hours cooking in the cooking studio that afternoon.
No need to take notes, we will be providing you with an easy to follow take home pack with ingredients, recipes and instructions on how to bake these breads at home.

Temple 's Themed food evenings proved very popular in 2008 & 2009 and we continue to run these through 2010.
Valentines Weekend, Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 February
The Garden Room restaurant is offering a six course Valentines Gourmet Dinner Menu accompanied by a glass of pink champagne for €65 on Valentines Day (Saturday & Sunday nights). Book your table in advance not to miss out on this romantic evening at Temple .
Saint Patrick's Day, Wednesday 17 March
Saint Patrick's Day is all about the Irish, so visit Temple 's Garden Room restaurant on Wednesday 17 March and enjoy an Irish Themed Food Evening.
Thursday 15 April
Thursday 15 April sees head chef Pascal bringing a taste of Japan to the restaurant. Experience an evening of Japanese style cuisine in the Garden Room restaurant.
Thursday 20 May
The Garden Room restaurant will be offering another great themed food night on Thursday 20 May when Pascal, a native of The Netherlands, will be preparing a menu of gourmet Dutch cuisine.
